An enthusiast gaming company is seeking a Remote Senior Accountant to work full-time. The ideal candidate will report to the finance manager and senior vice president of finance. Experience will be the determining factor in salary. Joining the Finance team, the Senior Accountant will bring a wealth of practical experience.

Remote Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities:

Help with a variety of account reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis to maintain accurate ledgers and report accurately;
Helps ensure that all accounting functions are in conformity with IFRS by working closely with the finance manager to pinpoint any gaps in process and provide solutions;
Help with the audit and review processes once a year and quarterly;
Help with closing processes at the conclusion of each month and quarter;
Help bring about adjustments that will make financial processes and procedures more effective and efficient;
Find financial inconsistencies, help resolve them, provide solutions, and report findings;
Produce explanations for variances, results summaries, and recommendations; Contribute to process documentations and business cases;
Provide support to the Finance team as needed for the accounting needs of certain entities within the consolidated group;
Develop and oversee key performance indicator tracking;
Help with filing business and HST taxes as well as other periodical taxes;
Help in managing finances, developing processes, and ensuring internal controls are followed;
Contribute to the provision of comprehensive analytics to management for use in making decisions;
Help out with budgeting, cash management, and financial planning for the company;
Help the financial team meet deadlines while staying in line with IFRS, other securities regulations, and TSX policies and procedures for publicly released quarterly and annual statements;

Qualification and Experience:

Advanced Degree in Financial or Accounting;
Accredited public accountant or candidate for certification as an accountant
Accounting or finance background of at least three to five years;
Knowledge of and comfort collaborating with a wide variety of legal organizations operating under several jurisdictions;
Someone with expertise in IFRS is seen as a valuable asset; and
Knowledge of NetSuite is seen as a plus.
