Procurement Officer Responsibilities:

Identify, assess, and select appropriate suppliers based on need for purchase
Conduct due diligence of suppliers, including shortlisting, onboarding in vendor database, and continuous performance monitoring
Stay updated with market trends for effective price and credit term negotiation
Keep abreast of government regulations (sales tax, duties, tariffs) for smooth processing and efficient negotiations
Review PRs, set priorities, and prepare POs for purchasing categories assigned, ensuring timely disbursement to relevant stakeholders
Ensure timely receipt of materials from suppliers and follow up for delays
Handle quality issues related to supplies and implement countermeasures to avoid recurrence
Ensure completeness of documentation for internal and external audit guidelines
Maintain SAP database accurately, including PIRs and source list
Ensure local procurement organization and external vendors comply with Group policies and local/international laws
Send monthly closing data/documents as per prescribed procedures
Maintain ISO documents/records
Assist team members in the absence or shortage of staff
Perform any other miscellaneous job as assigned
